With it's AVX2 Extension it has increased Powerconsumption (so more Heat than the previous Model)Ĭombined with wide spreaded production (or engineering) faults in adding the Heatspreader to the physical die with lowcost thermal paste instead of welding it together as they did in previous generations of Intel CPUs.
The reason for this depends on a "not so well" Haswell CPU or a fault AC Power Supply Also this causes the fan to run at a very noisy level(2700rpm) when running Maya. I had the same Problem with my Late 27" iMac.
